Salesforce / THE WORLD THEY ARE BUILDING

The CRM companies run on, now with agents inside.

If the bet works, a customer pays Salesforce for work done by agents as well as for seats used by people: conversations resolved, leads followed up, records kept current. Salesforce's own target is $63 billion in revenue in fiscal 2030, against $41.5 billion in fiscal 2026.

Sales Cloud and Service Cloud

Sales teams track accounts, opportunities and forecasts; service teams manage cases across channels.

One shared record of every customer, which is also the data agents work from.

Hanssem

A dealer network made visible, about one month to 90 percent use

About 90 percent of assigned customers followed up in Salesforce about one month after full rollout; head-office reps' work time down by an estimated 10 percent.

Sales Cloud and Partner Community put head office, dealerships and designers on one platform, record every stage from consultation to contract, and flag stalled leads in real time.

What changed? +

Head-office reps could not see what about 2,300 designers in roughly 600 dealerships did with customers; leads sat in documents or Google Sheets and stalled leads were spotted only after three to four months.

Doosan Enerbility

A CRM that finally stuck, from 30 users to 200

4,600 companies, 17,000 people, 1,600 projects and 6,800 intelligence items now sit in one system.

In 2023 the company chose Salesforce with standard features first, rolled it from about 30 marketing staff to 50 salespeople and then 200 company-wide, and added Service Cloud; Agentforce is in a proof of concept.

What changed? +

More than ten years of CRM attempts had not taken hold; heavy customization made systems complex and information from 16 branches outgrew the old methods.

02 / HOW IT BECOMES REAL

One Korean company's customer, from first call to renewal

An illustrative Korean mid-sized manufacturer buys Salesforce to sell to dealers and serve its own customers. Each step below uses a Salesforce product that a current Korea posting sells or supports.

  1. 01

Find the next customer and book the first meeting

A business development representative researches accounts and makes outbound calls, while an outbound agent such as Hunter drafts follow-ups from CRM data. The account executive receives a qualified opportunity instead of a cold list.

  2. 02

Run the deal in Sales Cloud with a solution engineer

The account executive manages the opportunity, forecast and stakeholders in Sales Cloud. A solution engineer runs discovery workshops, sketches the first architecture and demonstrates how Salesforce and partner products fit the customer's systems.

  3. 03

Bring the customer's data into one profile

Data 360 unifies records from Salesforce apps, the website and other systems into one profile, reading data in Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery or AWS through Zero Copy. MuleSoft and Informatica connect older systems and clean the data before agents use it.

  4. 04

Let an agent answer first and hand hard cases to people

A service agent built in Agentforce answers customers on the web, in messaging or by voice, using the company's own knowledge and records. When a request falls outside its instructions, it escalates to a human service representative with the history attached.

  5. 05

Measure adoption and grow the account

Teams work in Slack with Slackbot pulling Salesforce context, and managers read Tableau dashboards. Success architects, success guides and technical architects push adoption after the sale, which is where renewal and the next product sale come from.

Follow the work, step by step

The record is where the work happens

Salesforce began on 8 March 1999 with a bet that business software could be rented over the internet instead of installed on a company's own servers, and it launched in February 2000 at an event it called The End of Software. What it rented was customer relationship management, or CRM: the system where a company keeps its accounts, contacts, deals and service cases. Twenty-seven years later that record sits at the center of most large companies' sales and service work. Salesforce reported $41.5 billion of revenue for the fiscal year that ended on 31 January 2026, and a Salesforce graphic citing IDC puts it first in CRM for the 13th year running.

We've rebuilt Salesforce to become the operating system for the Agentic Enterprise, bringing humans and agents together on one trusted platform.

Marc Benioff · Chair and CEO · Fourth quarter fiscal 2026 results release · 2026-02-25

The belief behind the current strategy is that AI models alone cannot run a company. At Dreamforce in September 2026 Benioff argued that models are probabilistic and are not grounded in a single source of truth the way Salesforce's applications are. An agent that answers a customer or updates a deal therefore needs the record, the business logic and the permissions underneath it. Salesforce has rebuilt itself around that idea: it introduced Agentforce on 12 September 2024, renamed its product lines in its financial reports to Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service and so on in late 2025, and now describes itself as the operating system for the Agentic Enterprise.

Why now

Large language models made it practical for software to read a request, plan steps and act. Salesforce's answer was to put the agent where its customers' data already is. By January 2026 it had closed more than 29,000 Agentforce deals, and by July 2026 its agents had completed 7.0 billion tasks that the company counts as Agentic Work Units. In September 2026 it went one step further with AIforce, which lets people and agents use Salesforce data, workflows and permissions from Claude, Slack or an assistant called Agentforce Coworker without opening the Salesforce screens. Pricing moved with it: Agentforce can be bought at $2 per conversation or with consumption credits, not only per user.

One customer's path through Salesforce

Take an illustrative Korean mid-sized manufacturer that sells through dealers. A business development representative researches the account and books a first meeting, while an outbound agent such as Hunter drafts follow-ups from CRM data. An account executive runs the deal in Sales Cloud, and a solution engineer maps the customer's systems and demonstrates the fit. After signing, Data 360 joins records from the website, the ERP and the CRM into one profile, with MuleSoft and Informatica connecting and cleaning older systems. Hanssem, which runs a network of about 600 dealerships on Sales Cloud, is a real example of this middle step.

Then a service agent built in Agentforce answers the manufacturer's customers on the web or by voice and hands anything outside its instructions to a person, history attached. On Salesforce's own help site, Agentforce had handled 380,000 conversations by February 2025, resolved 84 percent and sent 2 percent to a human. The team works in Slack, where Slackbot can update a Salesforce record from a message, and managers read Tableau dashboards. Human judgement stays where it matters most: deciding what an agent may do, approving exceptions, and owning the customer relationship.

The agent story has to show up in growth. In the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, constant-currency subscription growth was 8 percent for Agentforce Sales and 7 percent for Agentforce Service, while Agentforce ARR more than doubled. The company promises faster organic growth in the second half of fiscal 2027.

The 17 open Korea roles sit at every step of this path: finding customers, selling the platform and its specialist products, making customers successful after the sale, and running the Korea business itself. In most of them the work is to show a Korean customer that agents and data work inside its own rules.

Understand the products and their customers

Five products on one platform

Sales Cloud and Service Cloud are the core. Sales Cloud holds accounts, opportunities and forecasts; Service Cloud holds cases, knowledge and routing. Salesforce now reports them as Agentforce Sales and Agentforce Service, and in fiscal 2026 they brought in $9,028 million and $9,818 million of subscription revenue, the two largest lines. Prebuilt agents are arriving inside them: Hunter works outbound pipeline, Piper books meetings from inbound leads and Fin answers customers. Fin came with the purchase of the company of the same name, formerly Intercom, completed in September 2026; it brought more than 30,000 customers.

Agentforce is the platform for building those agents. A team defines subagents in Agentforce Builder, writes instructions in plain language and attaches actions made from Flows, prompts, code or MuleSoft APIs; the Atlas Reasoning Engine plans the steps and escalates to a person when needed. It is sold per conversation, in Flex Credits or as per-user add-ons, and Agentforce ARR passed $1.5 billion in July 2026, up more than 240 percent. Data 360, called Data Cloud until 2025, is what the agents read. It joins records into one customer profile and reads data in Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery or AWS through Zero Copy. MuleSoft and Informatica sit underneath for integration and data quality.

Slack, bought in 2021, is where people meet the agents. Slackbot records and summarizes meetings and creates or updates Salesforce records from a chat message, and Slack positions itself against Microsoft Teams as the place where data, apps and AI meet. Salesforce launched Slackbot in Korea on 8 April 2026, with Daangn and Woowa Brothers on stage. Tableau, bought in 2019, is the analytics layer; Tableau Next stacks data, semantic, visualization and action layers with an agent on top. In Korea, Toss Bank and KB Kookmin Bank were named as Tableau users in 2024.

Named customers in Korea, and what each case shows

Hanssem is the clearest before and after. Its head-office reps could not see what about 2,300 designers in roughly 600 dealerships did with customers until Sales Cloud and a partner portal put every stage on one platform; about one month after full rollout, about 90 percent of assigned customers were being followed up in Salesforce, and the company estimates a 10 percent cut in head-office work time. Doosan Enerbility had tried CRM for more than ten years before 2023; it now has 200 users and 4,600 companies, 17,000 people and 1,600 projects in one system. Connectwave joined about 1.4 billion items of commerce data in Data 360 to react to visitors in real time on a site with 13 million monthly users. These are customer stories published by Salesforce Korea; Hanssem's includes a usage figure.

Agents at work outside Korea

Fulton Bank, a US bank, put more than 20 Agentforce Coworker use cases into production for about 3,000 users within weeks, by its own account in a Salesforce release. Southwest Airlines started with an assistant that answers customer questions and extended it to name changes, receipts and travel vouchers; Salesforce reports that the airline achieved seven times its return on investment. POSCO showed a sales coaching agent and a customer concierge agent working together on CRM data at Agentforce World Tour Korea in June 2026.

Each product has a different buyer: the head of sales or service for the core apps, the chief data officer for Data 360 and Informatica, the CIO for Slack, the analytics lead for Tableau. The Korea roles split the same way, so know which buyer your seat faces and what that buyer is measured on.

How the money comes in

Salesforce is paid mostly by subscription. In fiscal 2026, the year to 31 January 2026, revenue was $41,525 million, of which $39,388 million, about 95 percent, was subscription and support and the rest professional services. A customer typically signs a multi-year contract and pays per user per month for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Slack or Tableau. AI and data are increasingly sold by use instead: Agentforce at $2 per conversation or through Flex Credits, Data 360 through consumption credits and storage. That shift matters, because a company that needs fewer human seats may still pay more if its agents do more work.

Agent revenue is still small next to that base but growing fast. Agentforce ARR, the yearly value of Agentforce subscriptions in force, passed half a billion dollars in October 2025, reached $800 million in January 2026 and $1.2 billion in April, and exceeded $1.5 billion in July 2026. From that last quarter the figure also counts Slackbot and Headless 360, so part of the jump is a wider definition. Agentforce and Data 360 together were nearly $3.9 billion of ARR, a figure that includes Informatica's cloud business.

What has grown, and how fast

Revenue rose from $26.5 billion in fiscal 2022 to $41.5 billion in fiscal 2026, about 12 percent a year compounded by Signet's calculation. The pace slowed along the way, from 25 percent in fiscal 2022 to 9 percent in fiscal 2025 and 10 percent in fiscal 2026. In the second quarter of fiscal 2027 revenue grew 11 percent to $11.3 billion, but $456 million of it came from Informatica; without it the increase was about 6 percent by Signet's calculation. The forward signals are firmer: current remaining performance obligation, contracted revenue due within a year, was $33.5 billion, up 14 percent, and the company raised its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to between $46.1 billion and $46.4 billion. Asia Pacific grew from $3,861 million in fiscal 2025 to $4,315 million in fiscal 2026.

NNAOV growth is the strongest it's been in four years, keeping us on track for second-half organic revenue reacceleration.

Robin Washington · President and Chief Operating and Financial Officer · Second quarter fiscal 2027 results release · 2026-08-26

Competition and position

By CRM revenue Salesforce leads by a wide margin: a Salesforce graphic citing IDC gives it a 20.0 percent share of 2025 CRM applications revenue, with Oracle at 4.1 percent, Microsoft at 4.0 percent, Adobe at 3.4 percent and SAP at 3.1 percent. The contest has moved to agents, where IDC ranks Salesforce second with 17.5 percent of the agent build and deploy market. Slack competes with Microsoft Teams, MuleSoft and Informatica with integration platforms such as Boomi and SnapLogic, and AI tools from model companies compete for the same user attention even as Anthropic partners with Salesforce on Claudeforce.

Three risks

Three risks follow from the sources. AI may shrink the number of seats customers buy, as Salesforce's own support cut shows, and enterprise software stocks fell sharply early in 2026 on that fear. Several large acquisitions, Informatica, Fin and Contentful, have to be absorbed at once, and Salesforce names acquisition integration among its own risks. And the core apps grow slowly, so the promised second-half reacceleration depends on agents and data.

Keep three numbers apart: revenue ($41.5 billion in fiscal 2026), ARR (Agentforce above $1.5 billion in July 2026, on a definition widened that quarter) and market value ($189 billion on 9 October 2026). Remember the fiscal year ends on 31 January, so fiscal 2027 is mostly calendar 2026.

Marc Benioff incorporated Salesforce on 8 March 1999 with Parker Harris, Frank Dominguez and Dave Moellenhoff, and he is still Chair, CEO and Co-Founder. On the first day he set up the 1-1-1 model, giving 1 percent of equity, product and employee time to communities, and he later co-founded the Pledge 1% movement; he also owns TIME. Harris ran engineering, product, infrastructure and security over the years and most recently led engineering for the Slack business unit; today he is an adviser to the CEO and a board member. Marc Benioff · Chair and CEO · AIforce launch release at Dreamforce 2026 · 2026-09-16

Decisions that shaped the company

Three choices explain today's Salesforce. First, it bought the layers around the CRM rather than building them: MuleSoft for integration in 2018, Tableau for analytics in 2019, Slack in 2021, Informatica for data management in November 2025 at about $8 billion in equity value, and Fin, a customer service agent company, agreed in June 2026 for about $3.6 billion. Second, it rebuilt around agents, from the Agentforce launch in 2024 to renaming its reported product lines after Agentforce. Third, with AIforce it opened its data and permissions to other AI interfaces, including Claude through a partnership with Anthropic, betting that the records matter more than the screens.

Salesforce also tested the idea on itself. It runs its own support on Agentforce, and Benioff said in 2025 that this let him shrink the support organization; a company spokesperson told Fortune that Salesforce no longer needed to actively backfill support engineer roles and had redeployed hundreds of employees, including into sales.

I've reduced it from 9,000 heads to about 5,000, because I need less heads.

The leaders a Korea hire is likely to meet

Robin Washington is president and chief operating and financial officer, responsible for planning, finance, HR, investor relations, legal and revenue operations; she sat on the board from 2013, as lead independent director from 2022 to 2025, and was previously CFO of Gilead Sciences. Miguel Milano, president and chief operating officer, leads the customer-facing growth engines worldwide; he ran international sales across Asia-Pacific, EMEA and Latin America from 2011 to 2020. In Korea, 박세진 (Sejin Park) has led Salesforce Korea since August 2025, after joining in 2024 to run enterprise sales and spending about 20 years at SAP, Workday and Oracle. His predecessor, 손부한 (Son Bu-han), led the Korean business for more than six years and moved to an advisory role.

How Salesforce says it works and hires

Four habits recur in what Salesforce publishes about itself. Trust is the first of five values, next to customer success, innovation, equality and sustainability. Every team and employee writes a V2MOM each year and posts it internally. The 1-1-1 model shows up in the Korea postings as seven paid volunteer days. And in hiring, AI tools help recruiters screen resumes while people make every selection decision; candidates are asked to apply for no more than three roles in twelve months.

Products are designed outside Korea, and Korea's work is mainly selling, delivering and supporting them. Several postings still carry local decisions: the Security GRC Senior Lead keeps the product certification roadmap current for Korean regulators, the Sales Strategy Senior Specialist designs territories and quotas and negotiates with US headquarters, and the Technical Architect works with global product teams on customer architecture.

05 / THE NEXT CHAPTER

Sell agents and data into Korea's regulated and fast-moving companies

The postings ask for selling the whole platform to small, mid-sized, digital native and strategic accounts, selling Agentforce, Data 360, MuleSoft and Informatica, Slack and Tableau as specialists, making Tableau, Slack and platform customers successful after the sale, and running security compliance, sales strategy, customer marketing and onboarding in Korea.

Why Korea? Why now?+

The sources point to three reasons. First, Korea's banks, telecom companies and public bodies need data kept in the country and checked against Korean rules, and Salesforce built that step by step: Hyperforce in Korea from January 2023, the Financial Security Institute's cloud safety assessment in May 2024, and a Korean region for Agentforce, Data Cloud, Tableau Next and Marketing Cloud from September 2025. The then chief executive said in June 2025 that data residency and AI sovereignty had become requirements in finance and telecom and that Korea would get global prices. The open Security GRC Senior Lead role, which handles CSP safety assessments, K-ISMS and CSAP, keeps that door open. Second, Korea is a demanding market: he called it more than a test bed for companies that want to lead in AI, and groups such as POSCO and Doosan Enerbility are putting agents and CRM into front-line work. Third, the product range has widened: a Korea posting describes Slack as one of the fastest-growing areas within Salesforce Korea, and the Data Foundation posting asks for experience selling to Korea's largest conglomerates.

Understand the Korea opportunity

Twenty years in Seoul

A company database records 세일즈포스코리아 유한회사 (Salesforce Korea) as established on 16 February 2006, with its office on Yeouido in Seoul. For most of the years since, the limit in Korea was where data could live. Banks, telecom companies and public bodies need sensitive data kept in the country and checked by Korean security rules. Salesforce answered step by step: in January 2023 it began running Hyperforce, its public-cloud architecture built with AWS, in Korea; in May 2024 it completed the Financial Security Institute's safety assessment for cloud providers, which opens the door to financial customers; and in September 2025 it extended the Korean region to Agentforce, Data Cloud, Tableau Next and Marketing Cloud.

For companies that want to lead in AI, [Korea] means more than a test bed.

Why Korea, and why now

The sources give three reasons. First, regulated industries: the June 2025 announcement of a Korean data center for Agentforce named data residency and AI sovereignty as requirements in finance and telecom, and the company said it would keep global prices in Korea. The Security GRC Senior Lead posting continues that work, handling CSP safety assessments, K-ISMS and CSAP. Second, demanding customers: the then chief executive called Korea more than a test bed for companies that want to lead in AI, and large groups such as POSCO and Doosan Enerbility are putting agents and CRM into front-line work. Third, breadth: one Korea posting calls Slack one of the fastest-growing areas within Salesforce Korea, and the Data Foundation posting targets Korea's largest conglomerates with MuleSoft and Informatica.

For enterprise AI agents to become a real competitive edge, customer data, business context and the execution environment have to be connected organically on one platform that can be trusted.

Who leads, and who the customers are

박세진 (Sejin Park) has led Salesforce Korea since August 2025. In April 2026 he launched Slackbot in Korea with Daangn and Woowa Brothers, and in June 2026 he opened Agentforce World Tour Korea at COEX for about 6,000 people, where POSCO showed its multi-agent setup and Musinsa described running global customer service on Service Cloud and Slack. Other named Korean customers include Hanssem, Doosan Enerbility and Connectwave, and Toss Bank and KB Kookmin Bank on Tableau.

What the 17 open roles add up to

On 10 October 2026 Salesforce's board listed 17 Korea openings: 16 in Seoul and one remote. Five sell the core platform (commercial, growth market and digital native account executives, a business development representative and a solution engineer). Five are specialist sellers for Agentforce, Data 360, Data Foundation, Slack and Tableau. Three work after the sale: a Tableau success architect, a Slack success guide building a new success plan programme due around late October 2026, and a remote technical architect. Four run the Korea business: security compliance, sales strategy, customer marketing and new-hire onboarding. Four of the 17 are openings dedicated to applicants with disabilities.

Choose the product before the title. Core platform sales carry quotas across many accounts; specialist roles go deep on one product with one buyer; success and architect roles are judged on adoption after the sale; and the operating roles shape how Salesforce Korea runs. All of them sell or deliver trust in data that stays inside Korea's rules.

07 / NOW & NEXT

The next scene is taking shape.

Second quarter beats and the year's guidance goes up

Revenue was $11.3 billion, up 11 percent, cRPO grew 14 percent, and Salesforce raised its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to between $46.1 billion and $46.4 billion.

Fin acquisition completed

Salesforce closed its purchase of Fin, formerly Intercom, agreed in June for about $3.6 billion; Fin brings more than 30,000 customers and an AI customer agent.

AIforce opens Salesforce to any AI interface

At Dreamforce Salesforce launched AIforce with Claudeforce in beta, Slackforce due in October and Agentforce Coworker available now; 100,000 users activated Coworker in its first 35 days.

More context on what comes next

Back to the thesis

The last quarter moved the bet forward on numbers. On 26 August 2026 Salesforce reported revenue of $11.3 billion, up 11 percent, Agentforce ARR above $1.5 billion and 3.2 billion Agentic Work Units in the quarter, and raised its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance. Without Informatica, growth was about 6 percent by Signet's calculation, which is why the promised second-half reacceleration is the number to watch.

AIforce and the open door

At Dreamforce on 15 September 2026 Salesforce launched AIforce, which brings its data, workflows and permissions into Claude, Slack and Agentforce Coworker. Claudeforce is in beta, Slackforce is due in October and Coworker is available now; Salesforce says 100,000 users activated Coworker in its first 35 days. Five days earlier it had closed the purchase of Fin, the customer service agent company formerly called Intercom. Benioff opened the keynote by calling talk of a SaaSpocalypse crazy nonsense and said the shift may be the end of software that makes humans do all the work.

Two other details shape the next year. Koa, Salesforce's first CRM reasoning model, is built with NVIDIA on Nemotron, trained only on synthetic data and run on Salesforce's own infrastructure; it is in pilot, with general availability expected in winter 2026. And the third-quarter revenue guidance of $11.42 billion to $11.5 billion already counts the Contentful and Fin acquisitions, so the next report will show how much the new businesses add on top of Informatica.

What to watch next

  • Whether organic revenue growth, excluding Informatica, rises from about 6 percent in the second half of fiscal 2027 as the company expects.
  • How AIforce and Coworker are priced, and whether Agentforce ARR keeps growing on its new, wider definition.
  • How Fin and Informatica are sold in Korea alongside Service Cloud and Data 360, and whether more Korean customers report results.

A Korea hire joins as Fin and Informatica are folded into the products Korean teams sell and as the Slack success plan programme starts. Ask in interviews how those changes will alter the quota, the product mix or the customers of your seat in the next year.

Their future. Your next chapter.

A LITTLE MORE CONTEXT

Understanding Salesforce.

What does Salesforce do?

Salesforce has rented customer relationship software over the internet since 2000: the system where a company keeps its accounts, contacts, deals and service cases. Since September 2024 it has sold Agentforce, AI agents that read those records, follow the company's rules and take actions, and in September 2026 it opened the same data and permissions to outside AI tools such as Claude.

What is the opportunity in Korea?

The postings ask for selling the whole platform to small, mid-sized, digital native and strategic accounts, selling Agentforce, Data 360, MuleSoft and Informatica, Slack and Tableau as specialists, making Tableau, Slack and platform customers successful after the sale, and running security compliance, sales strategy, customer marketing and onboarding in Korea.
