Responsibilities
- Owns the technical execution of regional and global data localization strategy within Databricks.
- Designs patterns that meet local regulatory requirements while keeping one unified data model across the company.
- Works with Data Science, Risk, Product, and AI Engineering teams to support data-driven decisions.
- Leads global data modeling that accounts for regional differences.
- Defines the APIs and tools, or agent interfaces, that let AI agents work with the data and knowledge layers.
- Implements governance as code so data lineage and quality checks run automatically.
What you need
- Has 10+ years designing large, complex data systems and brings solid architectural fundamentals to the table.
- Has hands-on experience with Databricks, including Unity Catalog and Delta Lake.
- Has built semantic layers or metric stores that keep reporting and analytics consistent.
- Understands how AI or agent-based systems consume data and has built APIs or services for them.
- Has designed data solutions that meet regional data residency and compliance requirements.
- Has worked as a senior individual contributor leading design reviews and mentoring engineers.
