Responsibilities
- Set the commercial risk strategy and the rules for which deals are supportable.
- Review high-risk deals and sign off before they escalate to second line.
- Turn risk policy into playbooks sales teams can use, and join major deal reviews.
- Own commercial conduct risk and fix misaligned incentives with Revenue Operations.
- Monitor the portfolio continuously with Data and regional teams to catch risk early.
- Lead root-cause reviews after incidents and drive the fixes.
What you need
- Ten to twelve years of risk management experience in financial services.
- Deep expertise in at least two areas such as credit, payments, or operational risk.
- Direct first-line experience working alongside front-office or sales teams.
- Able to translate complex risk topics into language sales leaders understand.
Good to have
- Experience in high-growth fintech such as payments, issuing, or FX.
- Familiarity with global rules like KYC, AML, sanctions, and card network policy.
- Experience designing early-warning indicators, limits, or stress tests for a portfolio.
