Responsibilities
- Identifies and interprets regulatory and partner obligations across APAC and turns them into concrete governance and controls.
- Works with product, operations, engineering, risk, and compliance to design key controls and put them into practice.
- Builds and maintains regulator-ready documentation: obligation mapping, control descriptions, ownership, testing methods, and evidence.
- Explains the control framework to regulators, external auditors, and partner banks, and handles their inquiries.
- Coordinates responses to regulatory exams, audits, and information requests, and keeps evidence consistent and ready.
- Finds gaps or overlaps in controls and evidence across APAC, drives fixes, and keeps related systems and dashboards up to date.
What you need
- Has 10+ years in regulatory operations, compliance, internal audit, or risk at a fast-growing tech, financial services, or fintech company.
- Has turned legal or partner requirements into real operational controls and testing, not just policy documents.
- Has directly owned support for regulatory exams, audits, information requests, or partner due diligence, from planning to remediation.
- Has strong project management skills driving cross-functional control or reporting initiatives to completion.
- Can turn complex regulatory topics into clear control requirements and audit-ready materials.
Good to have
- Has worked on multi-country fintech businesses such as payments, e-money, card issuing or acquiring, treasury, or embedded finance.
- Has worked with APAC regulators such as MAS, HKMA, AUSTRAC, or SFC, or with bank and card scheme partners.
