Responsibilities
- Sets the product direction for how new merchants get started and get screened for risk.
- Redraws and improves the path a business takes from sign up to full verification and activation.
- Builds AI features that read a merchant's business and catch emerging risk patterns sooner.
- Teams up with engineering, data science and risk to build AI agents that catch compromised accounts and illegal selling.
- Shapes payment method suggestions that weigh fraud risk against cost, conversion and merchant experience.
- Uses data and testing to find friction points in onboarding and payments, then ranks what to fix first.
What you need
- Has 5+ years in product management.
- Has taken products from strategy through delivery and ongoing improvement.
- Has worked closely with engineering, data science, risk or compliance teams.
- Can turn complicated technical or risk ideas into simple product decisions.
Good to have
- Has background in onboarding, fraud prevention, KYC or KYB, or transaction monitoring.
- Has built or grown AI or ML powered products or recommendation engines.
- Knows payment routing, authorization or conversion metrics well.
