Responsibilities
- Deliver the regulatory engagement strategy in Hong Kong and manage payments, securities and asset management, and remittance compliance programs.
- Own licensing responsibilities and coordinate renewals and new applications.
- Act as the point of contact with regulators such as the CED, SFC, and HKMA.
- Advise the business on managing compliance risk from new laws and regulations.
- Run the compliance monitoring program and conduct thematic reviews.
- Deliver compliance training to employees.
What you need
- Have 6+ years of compliance experience at a regulated financial institution, fintech, or legal or consulting firm.
- Know Hong Kong and broader Asia financial regulations, especially the MSO, SFO, and PSSVFO regimes.
- Can work with data to support strategic decisions.
- Solve complex regulatory problems with creative, strategic thinking.
- Explain complex topics clearly to regulators, executives, and frontline staff.
- Communicate fluently in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
Good to have
- Have direct experience dealing with the HKMA, CED, and SFC in Hong Kong.
