Responsibilities
- Manage Korea's payment/remittance compliance and licence applications, renewals, reports and regulator requests.
- Advise first-line business and product teams on legal changes, conduct risk and fit-for-purpose controls.
- Operate regulatory risk escalation, monitoring reviews, compliance training and targeted projects.
- Work in the second line of defence and report to the Asia compliance director in Singapore.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of compliance experience in regulated finance, fintech, legal/consulting or a combination.
- Knowledge of Korean financial laws, regulations and practices, with broader Asian regulatory familiarity.
- Data proficiency, strategic problem-solving and clear communication with regulators, executives and staff.
- Compliance-program experience, licensing/regulatory-expansion exposure and understanding of financial conduct risk and controls.
Good to have
- Payments-related compliance-program experience is preferred.
- Experience engaging Korea's FSC/FSS and other Asian financial regulators is preferred.
