Responsibilities
- Designs and builds goal oriented AI agents on the Quartermaster platform that handle SRE, DevOps and DBA work.
- Builds agent loops that plan, reason, choose and use tools, recover from errors, and hand off to a person when needed, so the whole system stays safe and reliable.
- Connects agents to infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, cloud APIs, monitoring systems, databases and CI/CD.
- Evaluates and improves agent performance using metrics like task completion rate, accuracy and time to resolution.
- Works with SRE, DevOps and platform teams to find the workflows most worth automating.
- Helps shape Airwallex's long term direction for infrastructure AI.
What you need
- Has 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong skills in Python, Go, Java or Kotlin.
- Has hands on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Aliyun, plus Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD.
- Can design systems that connect safely and reliably with production infrastructure.
- Communicates and collaborates well with teams across regions.
Good to have
- Has hands on experience building agentic AI systems that plan and execute multi step tasks using LLMs.
- Has experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI or AutoGen, or LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
- Has experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog or the ELK stack.
- Has experience automating database work such as schema migrations, query optimization or backup and recovery.
- Understands SRE practices such as incident response, runbooks, postmortems and SLOs.
