Responsibilities
- Make the technical calls and build core infrastructure pieces spanning everything from base-level storage up to highly available service layers.
- Tune deep system internals, including state tracking, checkpoints, and exactly-once guarantees, to reach millisecond accuracy worldwide.
- Grow the Knowledge Platform so scalable vector search, autonomous agent pipelines, and live data feeds can power AI products.
- Take full ownership of batch and streaming systems that crunch petabyte volumes spanning more than thirty regions worldwide.
- Contribute shared libraries, SDKs, and automation that make every engineering team more productive.
- Guide mid-level engineers as a technical mentor, pushing projects forward via design reviews and hands-on leadership.
What you need
- More than five years spent building and running distributed systems or infrastructure platforms at scale.
- Deep grounding in computer science fundamentals such as distributed systems, memory management, and networking.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or Go, with hands-on or eager exposure to Kafka, Flink, Spark, Kubernetes, or OLAP engine internals.
- A track record of owning complex technical problems end to end, from design through production stability.
Good to have
- Real intrinsic drive to dig into emerging AI and ML infrastructure work and real-time systems, turning that curiosity into measurable outcomes.
