Responsibilities
- Design, build, and run microservices in Java or Kotlin that hold up under heavy traffic.
- Standardize how services talk to each other and handle failure to keep the system stable.
- Team up with the data science and product crews to shape the pipelines and dashboards that turn raw numbers into decisions.
- Partner with Frontend, Product, Design, and Marketing to turn business needs into backend solutions.
- Build services that support A/B testing, feature toggles, and live monitoring to lift conversion.
- Apply secure coding practices and check for vulnerabilities to protect user data.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
- Five or more years working with modern engineering practices, including continuous integration and quality engineering.
- Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals and object-oriented concepts.
- Comfortable using domain-driven design principles and building systems around events.
- Deep experience keeping high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems reliable at scale.
- Experience running Docker and Kubernetes on GCP or AWS.
Good to have
- Knows monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus well.
- Skilled in Java or Kotlin, with familiarity in Spring or Spring Boot.
