Responsibilities
- Build and grow the citizen-developer platform and tooling so teams can ship automations and apps without deep infrastructure knowledge.
- Bake security and compliance into a secure development lifecycle and guardrails for citizen-developer applications.
- Create self-serve dev and ops tooling that cuts reliance on central platform engineers.
- Architect and run Temporal-based workflow infrastructure with an eye on multi-tenancy, availability, and cost.
- Help build the Kubernetes and GitOps stack (ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform) that keeps deployments safe and auditable.
- Join code reviews and design discussions, take on-call shifts, and lead incident response.
What you need
- Has spent 6+ years shipping and running backend or platform systems at production scale.
- Hands-on skill in a statically typed backend language such as Golang or Java, plus Python or Bash for tooling.
- Track record designing internal platforms or developer tooling shared across teams.
- Background in Kubernetes and GitOps practices, ideally with ArgoCD and Terraform.
- Works well across many teams and can turn platform constraints into clear APIs and contracts.
Good to have
- Experience building platforms or tools for non-product engineering users, such as citizen-developer setups.
- Hands-on with Temporal or a similar orchestration system, or large-scale stateful workloads.
- A hands-on problem solver who pushes through ambiguity to close out tough technical issues.
