Responsibilities
- Design, build, and run lending services with a focus on credit products.
- Build and maintain secure, scalable APIs that let client companies embed credit products directly into their own offerings.
- Lead design reviews, guide architecture decisions, and coach engineers.
- Embed resilient, distributed-systems practices across the team.
- Partner with other teams to ship lending features together.
- Strengthen automated testing, code review, and monitoring practices.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science or engineering.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading and coaching engineers.
- Hands-on backend experience building systems in Java or Kotlin with Spring.
- Extensive experience designing and shipping RESTful APIs.
- Experience applying domain-driven design and event-driven architecture in live production systems.
- Experience running large-scale distributed systems on GCP or AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
Good to have
- Experience offering software as a SaaS platform product.
