Responsibilities
- Set the long-term technical direction and architecture behind our identity systems (IAM) and account infrastructure.
- Turn business goals into a real technical roadmap by working closely with product and engineering leads.
- Serve as the connector between engineering and the legal, compliance, and security groups as regulations shift around the world.
- Build highly available identity and account systems on Java, Kotlin, and cloud native tooling.
- Put security protocols like OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML in place to keep customer data safe.
- Push code quality higher across the team through reviews, automated testing, and shared standards.
What you need
- Has an undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or another related area.
- Has 3+ years on the job writing backend software.
- Understands identity and access concepts deeply, including authentication, authorization, SSO, and MFA.
- Has worked hands-on with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus containers like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Has coached other engineers and helped raise a team's overall skill level.
Good to have
- Fintech, banking, or payments experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with data governance tools or privacy tech is a plus.
- Time spent at a fast-growing startup or unicorn company is a plus.
