Responsibilities
- Build automated tests for risk decisioning flows and wire them into CI/CD.
- Write automated coverage for the risk flow's key stages: checking new signups (KYC/KYB), assessing merchant risk, scoring transactions, and screening for red flags.
- Build stable, realistic test data and environments covering fraud, screening, and jurisdiction scenarios.
- Set up and take ownership of contract tests that catch integration breaks between the risk system and the services connected to it.
- Build tests that validate region-specific rules and define pre- and post-release quality gates.
- Champion test design and automation practices and mentor teammates.
What you need
- Experience as an SDET or test engineer who has built test frameworks from scratch.
- Skilled at testing backend systems that are large-scale and distributed, including REST APIs, event or message flows, and calls between services.
- Hands-on with API and end-to-end test automation and CI/CD, plus experience running contract tests and keeping test data and environments in good shape.
- A strong instinct for reliable testing, valuing consistent data, isolated environments, and fast feedback.
- Uses AI to generate tests, analyze coverage, and triage failures, and can validate machine learning and LLM-based features.
Good to have
- Background in risk, fraud prevention, payments, or other regulated industries.
- Experience testing systems that behave differently by country or region.
- Familiarity with contract testing tools like Pact and building test data or environment tooling from scratch.
- Used AI or LLM tools in testing work, or validated machine learning based systems.
- Experience testing performance and response times on critical paths.
