- Design and build data pipelines and models used across teams and business domains.
- Work with engineering and other teams to turn vague data needs into solid structures.
- Own projects end to end, from pipeline design through performance and quality.
- Build batch and streaming pipelines and quickly trace the root cause of data issues.
- Take part in setting data governance standards and policy.
- Look for practical ways to combine data engineering with AI.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, math, or a related field.
- Seven-plus years designing and building ETL pipelines.
- Experience with streaming technology such as Kafka or Flink.
- Strong SQL skills plus experience with databases like MySQL or Postgres and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with GCP and modern data tools such as Databricks and Airflow.
Good to have
- Background in finance, payments, or fintech.
- Knowledge of data governance rules in the financial industry.
- Scripting experience in Python or R for analysis and automation.
- A certification related to data management.
