Responsibilities
- Architect real-time local clearing, SWIFT and treasury routing across 150+ countries.
- Build idempotent, fault-tolerant multi-currency reconciliation, asynchronous settlement and compensation logic.
- Own SLAs, graceful degradation, real-time payment health and network reliability.
- Use telemetry to improve routing, bottlenecks, settlement speed and conversion.
- Lead cross-team technical direction through global design reviews, RFCs and architecture decisions.
What you need
- 7+ years building and operating production software including scaled distributed systems.
- Architecture experience in fault tolerance, idempotency, asynchronous workflows, reconciliation, settlement and failure recovery.
- Ownership of critical reliability, SLAs, graceful degradation, observability and incident response.
- Strong Java, Kotlin, C++, Python or similar; relevant CS/software engineering bachelor’s degree.
- Cross-team design/RFC/architecture leadership and strong operational/product-data analysis.
- Five days weekly in the Seoul office, collaborating across countries and time zones.
Good to have
- Fintech, payments or regulated finance.
- Deep JVM, Java/Kotlin and Spring/Spring Boot.
- Leading high-availability, low-latency systems teams.
