- Work with governments, academia, industry and civil society to research AI's economic effects in the region.
- Extend the Anthropic Economic Index to the region and build new measurement methods.
- Turn research findings into recommendations that inform policy discussions.
- Analyze AI's economic impact across labor markets, productivity and industry-specific change.
- Work with other technical teams to improve data collection and measurement infrastructure.
- Communicate externally through research papers, policy briefs and presentations.
What you need
- PhD in Economics.
- Track record of empirical research combining novel data with economic theory or frontier causal-inference and machine-learning methods.
- Real relationships and experience built within the region.
- Able to analyze large-scale data using Python, R or SQL.
