Responsibilities
- Run full-cycle payroll for multiple APAC countries, including India, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and Singapore.
- Stand up payroll operations in new countries as the business expands.
- Process payroll in line with each country's tax and employment law, and handle related tax notices.
- Manage relationships with outside payroll vendors and answer employee payroll questions.
- Coordinate with the equity team on processing stock-option payroll.
- Partner with People, Tax, Global Mobility, and Finance to resolve payroll issues and improve processes.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years in payroll operations, including 5+ years in international payroll.
- Able to process many pay types, including severance, equity, taxable benefits, off-cycle, and regular pay runs.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance across multiple countries.
- Experience closing the books each month, including account reconciliations and payroll journal entries.
- Hands-on experience with Workday or a similar global payroll platform.
Good to have
- Experience supporting fast international expansion.
- Familiarity with European tax rules and employment law.
- Experience with payroll system implementation projects.
