Responsibilities
- Installs, monitors, and maintains hardware, software, and networking in new data centers.
- Configures and troubleshoots servers remotely using tools such as IPMI, including firmware updates.
- Configures network devices for both new builds and migrations.
- Manages and coordinates outside contractors doing data center installs and upgrades.
- Automates repetitive work using Python scripts and standardized change management steps.
- Plans and carries out installations covering power, cooling, security, and rack layout.
What you need
- Has 5+ years of experience in data center operations, site reliability engineering, Linux administration, or network engineering.
- Has experience with optical transport technologies such as CWDM or DWDM.
- Has used configuration management tools such as Saltstack, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
- Understands network protocols, topologies, and enterprise architecture.
- Has solved problems through automation using Python or Bash scripting.
- Has built or worked with agentic AI tools for workflow automation.
Good to have
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Direct experience running multi-part data center infrastructure projects is a plus.
- Understanding of BGP and anycast routing is a plus.
- Familiarity with network operating systems such as Juniper, Cisco, or Arista is a plus.
- Professional network certifications such as JNCIP or CCNP are a plus.
