Responsibilities
- Builds and owns Cognition's partnership strategy in Japan across enterprise, SI, cloud, and public sector ecosystems.
- Sources, structures, and closes strategic partnership deals that drive revenue, distribution, and product adoption.
- Creates go-to-market plays alongside partners, blending co-selling and co-building with folding Devin straight into their ecosystems.
- Owns key partner relationships, engaging C suite, innovation, and technical stakeholders.
- Turns partner and market feedback into product insight, working with engineering and product to refine Devin's use cases.
- Identifies new market opportunities, including industry specific use cases and expansion paths.
What you need
- Has a track record building and scaling strategic partnerships in Japan.
- Has strong experience working with large enterprises, system integrators, or cloud ecosystems in Japan.
- Can navigate Japanese business culture and decision making with credibility at the executive level.
- Has strong technical fluency to understand and position complex AI and software engineering solutions.
- Has structured and closed complex, multi party commercial agreements.
- Is fluent in Japanese and English.
Good to have
- Has built or scaled a partnerships or alliances function from zero in Japan.
- Has worked with top tier Japanese enterprises, consultancies, or technology providers.
- Has moved from a technical role, such as engineering or solutions, into commercial or partnership leadership.
- Has driven co sell or ecosystem led growth at a high growth SaaS or AI company.
