Responsibilities
- Pilots and prioritizes emerging technology across APAC, including generative AI, on set tools, and VFX or imaging workflows.
- Leads and grows a team of technology managers including GenLab and GenTech, coaching them directly.
- Works with production and content leaders, directors, and producers to find where technology actually improves creative quality, speed, or cost.
- Runs pilots in a structured way, evaluates them against traditional methods, and turns the ones that work into standard guidance, training, and vendor picks.
- Checks new workflows against copyright, IP, and data security standards with legal and product before they scale.
- Reports pilot progress and risk to leadership and makes the call on whether to continue or stop each one.
What you need
- Has 15 plus years in film, series, gaming, or VFX production, including time leading a team.
- Has led a team through adopting new production technology, not just worked as an individual contributor.
- Understands the full production process from development through post and delivery.
- Has hands on experience with both generative AI tools and core tools like Unreal Engine and Premiere.
- Has worked across product, legal, content operations, and outside vendors.
Good to have
- A degree in design, film, or technology is a plus.
- Experience building a team or function from scratch is a plus.
- Experience across multiple APAC production markets is a plus.
- Familiarity with copyright, IP, and data security issues in AI workflows is a plus.
- A track record building vendor or freelance relationships in emerging technology is a plus.
