Responsibilities
- Research reasoning, planning, tool use and autonomous problem-solving in agentic AI.
- Develop synthetic-data, data-selection and efficient-learning methods, including RL, distillation and self-training.
- Build Korean-language models and transferable training recipes, then transfer innovations to NVIDIA products.
- Publish at leading venues, contribute open-source research and collaborate with internal and academic researchers.
- Mentor interns in the NVIDIA-KAIST Joint AI Research Lab.
What you need
- Hold a PhD in AI, computer science, electrical engineering or a related field, or have equivalent experience.
- Have at least 4 years of relevant research experience and publications at leading conferences.
- Bring deep expertise in at least one of LLMs, agents, reasoning, RL, efficient training, synthetic data, distillation or self-improvement.
- Understand modern deep learning and foundation models, with strong Python and framework skills such as PyTorch.
- Identify important research problems, rigorously evaluate new approaches and collaborate clearly across research teams.
Good to have
- Contributions to advanced agentic systems, reasoning models or autonomous AI are valued.
- Large-scale distributed training, efficient post-training or inference-time scaling experience is valued.
- Korean or multilingual model research, cross-lingual transfer and significant open-source contributions are valued.
