Follow the work, step by step

Authorize access to an application

Consider an illustrative employee opening a company application from outside the office. The employee needs the application, while the company needs to decide whether this person and device should reach it. Zscaler describes the Zero Trust Exchange around direct connections governed by identity, context and business policy. Its Private Access offering brokers access to specific applications, and Internet Access inspects traffic toward internet and SaaS services. Signet reads the architectural choice as changing what the connection grants: the customer evaluates access to the required work rather than assuming that entering a network establishes broad trust. That is a useful starting point for a technical demonstration. Which identity is being checked, which application is requested, which policy applies and what happens when a condition changes? The illustrative request makes those questions concrete. It is not a claim about one particular customer's configuration. An implementation still needs a clear view of applications, users, devices and the policies the customer wants to enforce.

Inspection and connectivity belong in the same path

Zscaler Internet Access describes a cloud proxy architecture with inline security controls. Its product page discusses inspection of encrypted traffic, protection against threats and data loss, and administrative visibility. The data security offering adds a wider view of sensitive information across the customer's environments. Signet interprets the buying question as the relationship between security policy and the route the work takes. A rule is useful when the relevant traffic reaches the control and the team can explain its effect. A technical evaluation can follow an allowed request, a blocked request and an exception that requires a customer's decision. These are suggested assessment cases rather than a list of guaranteed outcomes. The customer's operating constraints also matter: supported applications, data handling, user experience and the work required to roll out the solution. A seller or engineer should make those constraints visible early. That turns a high-level architecture discussion into a plan that a security, networking and application team can evaluate together.

An allowed connection still needs to work well

A user can have permission to reach an application and still experience a slow call or an unreliable session. Zscaler Digital Experience addresses that operational layer through device, network and application monitoring. The official diagram combines device connectivity, hop-by-hop network performance and application availability with an experience score and investigation. Signet reads this as a way to keep security architecture connected to everyday work. When a customer reports a problem, the team needs evidence about where the experience changed rather than a guess that the security product must be the cause. A proof of value can therefore define both the access policy and the measures used to examine performance. The diagram's sample scores are explanatory content, separate from Zscaler's financial or customer results. For an applicant, a useful example describes how they narrowed a connectivity problem, tested a hypothesis and communicated the finding to the people responsible for the affected system. That process connects technical judgment with a customer outcome that others can assess.

Understand the products and their customers

Internet and private access solve different connections

The Internet Access and Private Access names refer to different paths in the customer's environment. ZIA applies security controls to internet and SaaS access through a cloud-delivered proxy model. ZPA connects an authorized user with a specific private application and describes application segmentation as a way to limit the scope of access. Both sit within the Zero Trust Exchange direction, but an evaluation should still identify what traffic and applications each product will handle. Signet reads the product lineup through the work rather than the acronyms. An employee browsing a SaaS application and a contractor reaching a private maintenance tool may need different rules, context and deployment choices. Those scenes are illustrative ways to frame discovery. The customer should map the relevant application, user or workload and explain the policy it wants. A technical seller can then show the appropriate connection and discuss implementation with the customer's security and infrastructure teams, instead of presenting every product as an interchangeable form of remote access.

Digital Experience makes diagnosis part of the offer

ZDX describes visibility into the experience users receive across devices, networks and applications. Its official material separates monitoring a widespread issue from investigating a specific user's problem. That division matters because a customer may need to understand whether an incident is local, shared across a network path or tied to an application. Signet's interpretation is that a coherent diagnosis can help several teams work from the same evidence. A networking team, endpoint team and application owner may otherwise receive separate descriptions of the same complaint. The product diagram and feature descriptions are the basis for that reading, not proof that every investigation becomes automatic. An applicant can prepare a technical story with a clear starting symptom, the observations used to narrow it and the action that followed. The useful part is the reasoning: why did one piece of evidence change the next test, and how did the team confirm that the user's work improved? This connects a monitoring feature with the operating responsibility behind it.

Customer stories describe a phased change

The company-published Siemens case describes replacing a legacy perimeter model with cloud-based zero trust connectivity across offices and factories. Its story connects remote access, segmentation and the flexibility required as a large business changes. The Careem case describes a growing company replacing a traditional security setup to support cloud applications and a remote-first workforce, working with a local partner during evaluation. Signet reads both as implementation stories. The customer problem, the intended architecture and the people involved are more useful for understanding the work than a logo alone. Their scale descriptions and outcomes belong to the scope of those published cases. This page does not turn them into a combined customer count or a universal deployment promise. A prospective engineer can compare the customer's starting point with the decisions the team made during transition. Which legacy dependency had to be understood, which access needed to remain available and which groups had to agree on the new model? Those questions make a case study relevant to preparation for customer-facing work.

Read the growth story

The annual curve uses reported fiscal results

Zscaler reports on a fiscal year ending July thirty-first. Its official financial tables give annual revenue of about one point zero nine billion dollars for fiscal 2022, two point six seven billion for fiscal 2025 and three point three five billion for fiscal 2026. This page retains the precise table values in the underlying chart and attaches the fiscal period and source to each point. The plotted years are reported annual results. Annual revenue, a quarterly result and an annual recurring revenue measure have different scopes. Signet keeps those scopes separate so a reader can understand what changed rather than merely see a larger number. The fiscal 2026 release also separates the contribution of the Red Canary acquisition when discussing certain growth measures. That acquisition scope matters when interpreting the company's expansion. A prospective employee can connect the financial direction with the work customers continue to use, while avoiding a claim that one new product or one local role caused the entire reported growth.

The commercial relationship continues after validation

The product and customer materials describe enterprise security capabilities that customers deploy and continue operating. Signet reads the business relationship around that recurring work: a customer needs the appropriate service, a reliable implementation and people who understand how the controls fit its environment. A technical evaluation reduces uncertainty before the buying decision, but the customer's operating responsibilities continue after the purchase. The Korean roles connect directly to that process. Sales Engineering owns technical discovery, demonstrations and value validation; Partner Engineering develops other organizations' ability to position and validate solutions. That distribution of work can support new customer decisions and the expansion of an existing deployment. This is an editorial explanation of the relationship between roles and the commercial model. It is not a calculation of product-level margins or a forecast for Korea. An applicant can bring evidence of how a technical engagement moved a decision forward, what the customer still needed to implement and how the team kept the promised outcome clear.

Revenue and profit answer separate questions

The annual revenue chart asks how much revenue was recognized in a fiscal period. Profitability and cash measures ask other questions, and the earnings releases distinguish GAAP results from non-GAAP presentations. A reader should preserve that distinction when comparing periods. Signet's operating risk discussion focuses on product execution, customer adoption and the reliability required of a security service. The financial announcements identify competition, evolving technology and risks in new products among the factors that can affect results. The customer cases make the operational side visible through transition and configuration work. Together, these sources help a reader examine the connection between a commercial promise and continued use. An engineering candidate can prepare by discussing a constraint discovered during evaluation and how it changed the plan. An account team benefits when that constraint becomes a clear decision before it turns into an implementation surprise. That is a practical interpretation of the business model, grounded in the published work, rather than an investment recommendation or a prediction of future financial performance.

The decisions behind the company

The founder connects architecture with the business

The official author and leadership pages identify Jay Chaudhry as chief executive, chairman and founder. His public profile describes experience across engineering, sales, marketing and management. That combination gives a reader a way to understand why the company presents architecture and customer value together. Signet reads the current direction as a technical choice with commercial consequences: change the connection model, then help a customer decide how to adopt it. Chaudhry's dated statements describe the Zero Trust Exchange and, more recently, AI as an opportunity for the platform. A statement of direction still needs implementation and customer evidence before it can explain a particular result. Applicants can keep this distinction when discussing the company. They can show what interests them about the architecture and connect it with a problem they have actually handled. A concrete story about a user's access, a customer's constraint or a partner's technical gap makes that connection assessable without inventing a founder's intentions or personal beliefs.

Finance leadership supplies another view of growth

Kevin Rubin's current official profile identifies him as chief financial officer. The appointment announcement describes prior CFO work at BetterUp and Alteryx, including Alteryx's public offering and the development of its finance organization. Those are his career facts, separate from Zscaler's own operating results. The 2026 earnings announcements then describe growth across products, customer expansion and commercial execution. Signet reads the finance role as a reminder that a platform direction must connect to a durable customer relationship and a disciplined operating model. A growing total can reflect several components, including acquired businesses, so the scope of a financial measure should travel with the number. Applicants working in technical sales can connect to this through credible evaluation and implementation plans. A product demonstration is part of a longer decision that can affect the customer's budget and operating responsibility. Showing what was promised, what was tested and how the commercial team understood the result makes technical work legible to the people making that decision.

Ownership and feedback can be demonstrated

Zscaler's culture page names values and leadership principles, including ownership, customer understanding and a growth mindset. The current engineering postings give those themes a concrete employment context through collaboration, learning and feedback. Signet's interpretation is that an applicant should show how those behaviors affected a real piece of work. Ownership can mean noticing that a partner demonstration fails and staying with the problem until the responsible teams have a usable result. Collaboration can mean making a customer's constraint understandable to people outside one's own specialty. Learning can mean changing the next test after new evidence contradicts an assumption. These are illustrative preparation scenes, rather than an invented account of internal practice. A strong interview story identifies the applicant's decision, the other people involved and the result that was checked. That helps the hiring team assess how the candidate works when a technical issue is ambiguous and a customer needs an answer, which is a recurring theme in the published role descriptions.

Understand the Korea opportunity

Remote engineering roles serve the Korean market

The current official Greenhouse board contains two South Korea roles: Senior Partner Engineer and Senior Sales Engineer. The full descriptions and board listing were read on October 10, 2026. The postings identify remote work in South Korea. The company's public contact page separately lists a Seoul address on Teheran-ro; that address is an office contact fact, rather than proof of a mandatory office schedule for these roles. Signet's Korea structure groups the two functions and counts open postings. The posting count is different from employee headcount, and these sources do not establish a country manager or a complete reporting structure. The distinction is useful for an applicant because location, commercial scope and organization size are different questions. Both postings place technical customer work within the broader platform direction. A candidate can start by deciding whether their stronger evidence concerns enabling partner organizations or guiding the technical evaluation of an enterprise customer, then compare it with the actual requirements of the relevant role.

Partner Engineering multiplies technical capability

The Senior Partner Engineer posting works with distributors, resellers, system integrators, service providers and technology alliance partners. It describes enabling them to position, design, demonstrate and validate Zscaler solutions more independently. The role reports to the Senior Director of Solutions Consulting in the APJ Partner Engineering department, as stated in the original. Its minimum requirements cover cybersecurity or infrastructure experience, work with partner organizations, security architecture knowledge and hands-on technical capability. Native Korean and strong business English are specified. The posting does not express those requirements as a minimum number of career years, so this page preserves their qualitative scope. Signet reads the role as turning an individual's expertise into a repeatable capability in another team. An applicant can prepare a partner workshop or technical enablement story: what the partner could do before, what was taught or built, and how the applicant checked that the partner could perform the work independently. That makes enablement visible as an outcome rather than merely an event delivered.

Sales Engineering owns the technical buying path

The Senior Sales Engineer posting describes end-to-end ownership of the technical sale. It includes guidance to enterprise customers, demonstrations, presentations and proof-of-value work as the customer evaluates a change. Minimum requirements include at least seven years in presales, with at least five years specifically selling security solutions and technologies. It also asks for router and switch installation or administration experience, network security knowledge, and a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Identity integrations and web security skills appear among preferred qualifications and should retain that status. Signet reads the role as connecting technical depth with a customer's decision. An applicant can prepare a proof of value with a defined starting problem, agreed tests, evidence and a decision that followed. If the evaluation exposed a constraint, the story should explain how the applicant handled it rather than erase it from the account. That gives the hiring team a clearer view of judgment, ownership and communication under the conditions described by the posting.

More context on what comes next

AI adds identities and paths to inspect

The January 27, 2026 announcement presented AI security capabilities for discovering AI assets, understanding access relationships and applying controls across the enterprise's AI environment. The current AI security and unified platform pages place that work alongside data protection and security operations. Signet reads the direction as an extension of the access question: an AI application or agent also reaches systems and data, so the customer needs to understand the path and the authority involved. The announcement's research findings belong to the analyzed sample and date. They are distinct from a claim that every customer environment behaves the same way. A buyer can ask which assets are covered, which connections are visible and which controls are available in the configuration being evaluated.

The fiscal close reports a completed period

The September earnings release reports the fiscal year and quarter ended July 31, 2026. It gives revenue and recurring measures with the scope of the Red Canary contribution, and separately sets out expectations for the next fiscal year. This page uses completed revenue periods in the chart. It keeps subsequent expectations as forecasts at their publication date. The separation helps a reader follow commercial development without treating a target as an achieved result. The May earnings statement likewise records then-current technical initiatives and growth context. Dated announcements can explain how the product direction developed while preserving what the company said at each stage.

Look for a usable customer and partner decision

Signet follows the next step through current available controls, customer validation and partner capability. The two Korean engineering roles connect those questions with technical work people can perform and explain. An applicant can bring an access or security evaluation whose evidence changed a decision, show the constraints that mattered and describe how the customer or partner could continue the work afterward. That preparation connects a broad platform direction with a result the hiring team can assess.
