Responsibilities
- Acts as the bridge between internal data center development teams and external telecom partners.
- Owns the connectivity lifecycle from initial site assessment through final outside plant infrastructure delivery.
- Works with the site selection team to assess connectivity and validate long-haul and dark fiber proposals technically.
- Acts as technical lead for fiber pathway architecture, including manhole placement, conduit, and site entry points.
- Builds and maintains strategic relationships with regional ISPs, dark fiber owners, and utility providers.
- Leads negotiations such as IRU agreements and long-term leases, and reviews site designs using AutoCAD.
What you need
- Holds a bachelor's degree in a field such as engineering or telecommunications, or has equivalent hands-on experience.
- Has 5+ years of experience in network infrastructure, outside plant planning, or data center connectivity project management.
- Can review and create site infrastructure and conduit designs in AutoCAD.
- Can work with geospatial tools such as GIS and KMZ/KML files.
- Has a strong grasp of DWDM technology, ILA requirements, and MOFN deployment.
- Has a track record of negotiating complex fiber leases, IRUs, and construction contracts.
Good to have
- Has experience with large-scale 100Tbps+ capacity planning and deployment.
- Can read and write relevant code in Python or Go.
