Responsibilities
- Meet enterprise customers directly to find valuable opportunities and turn them into technical designs, implementation plans, and success criteria.
- Design and build AI systems that solve customer problems and put them into real production use.
- Get personally hands-on writing code for prototypes, evaluation tools, and integrations.
- Make technical calls across models, agents, data, security, cost, and reliability.
- Diagnose blockers, test hypotheses, and push problems through to resolution.
- Feed what you learn back into OpenAI's product, research, and engineering teams.
What you need
- Has a track record taking AI or ML systems from prototype to production in enterprise settings.
- Has made clear personal contributions in code, architecture, evaluation, or debugging.
- Codes fluently in Python and moves comfortably across the AI application stack.
- Knows how to evaluate AI systems systematically using real data and metrics.
- Has handled enterprise requirements such as integration, reliability, security, and cost.
- Speaks both Japanese and English fluently.
Good to have
- Knowing a language like JavaScript or TypeScript is a plus.
