Responsibilities
- Builds partnership strategy across JDM, CM and ODM models based on product needs, scale, speed, cost and risk.
- Leads RFI and RFP processes end to end, from requirements to market outreach, bids and partner selection.
- Evaluates manufacturing partners on technical capability, quality systems, production capacity and financial stability.
- Negotiates and structures agreements covering master service terms, statements of work, pricing, IP and service levels.
- Builds transparent cost and pricing structures and uses cost analysis and benchmarking to evaluate proposals.
- Leads partner onboarding and program bring up through manufacturing readiness, new product introduction and production ramp.
What you need
- Has 10+ years in strategic sourcing, manufacturing partnerships or supply chain leadership in hardware or semiconductors.
- Has directly selected, negotiated with and managed JDM, CM and ODM partners.
- Understands how design ownership, engineering responsibility and IP differ across these manufacturing models.
- Has negotiated agreements covering engineering, procurement, IP, quality and delivery terms.
- Can work with cost analysis and total cost of ownership to evaluate manufacturing costs.
- Has the technical credibility to work with engineering teams on hardware such as rack scale systems.
