Responsibilities
- Own sustaining quality for PCBA production across multiple hardware platforms.
- Investigate the root cause of manufacturing defects and field failures.
- Work with hardware design teams to improve manufacturability.
- Support engineering change orders and roll them out on the production line.
- Work directly with contract manufacturers to raise production yield and quality.
- Analyze manufacturing data to find recurring issues and build corrective actions.
What you need
- A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years supporting high-volume PCBA manufacturing.
- Experience with SMT manufacturing, PCB fabrication, and electronic assembly processes.
- Experience with root cause methods such as 8D, 5 Why, fishbone, or FMEA.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and global supply chains.
- Ability to read schematics, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
Good to have
- Experience with server, accelerator, networking, or storage AI hardware platforms.
- Familiarity with test methods such as ICT, flying probe, boundary scan, and functional test.
- Experience supporting high-speed PCBAs involving GPUs, CPUs, memory, or PCIe.
- Knowledge of IPC standards such as IPC-A-610.
- Experience with MES, PLM systems, and engineering change management.
