What you will do
We rewrote the responsibilities and qualifications in plain language instead of copying the original posting.
Responsibilities
- Take charge of everything travel security related across the APAC region, from pre trip checks to what happens after someone gets home.
- Run daily operations: screening risky trips, briefing travelers, watching for trouble, and stepping in when something goes wrong.
- Turn intelligence on political, health, and transport risks into plain risk assessments and decision briefs for staff and leadership.
- Take the lead when a medical emergency, security incident, natural disaster, or transport disruption hits a traveler.
- Keep the region's playbooks, training, and after the fact reviews current and useful.
- Oversee outside vendors covering medical assistance, secure transport, and intelligence, checking their service quality along the way.
What you need
- At least eight years in travel security or travel risk work, including recently running a program at the regional or global level.
- Has handled every stage of travel security personally, from pre trip planning through live incident response.
- Worked across several APAC markets and knows how to bend a global standard to fit local law and culture.
- Has steered major incidents through the chaos of incomplete information and competing stakeholder demands.
- Speaks and writes English well enough to brief executives and stay calm with a traveler mid crisis.
- Trusted to make calls solo but knows exactly when a situation needs to go up the chain.
Good to have
- Extra depth in East Asia, or fluency in another language spoken across the region.
- Has put a framework like ISO 31030 into practice.
- Has applied data or automation tools, with a human still checking the output, to sharpen travel security work.
