Responsibilities
- Own Korea build servers, storage and server-room/lab hardware on site and maintain hardware inventory.
- Move hand-configured infrastructure to reproducible infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Manage Jenkins distributed agents, shared libraries and credentials and reduce personal-account and single-person dependencies.
- Operate Linux systems, NFS/SAN storage, networks, power/cooling and capacity, and diagnose failures.
- Work with Korea Engineering/QA and global Engineering Operations/CI/CD in Sunnyvale and Dublin on monitoring, backup and replication.
- In the first 30 days, establish access, inventory and credential audits; by 60 days deliver the first Terraform component, Ansible agents and monitoring.
- By 90 days establish codified agent provisioning and storage policies, and present a six-month Korea infrastructure roadmap to engineering leadership.
What you need
- 8+ years of infrastructure, DevOps or SRE experience.
- Hands-on on-premises/bare-metal infrastructure ownership, distinct from cloud-only operations.
- Strong Linux, SSH, networking, storage, systemd and log troubleshooting.
- Experience with servers/racks, NFS/SAN storage, power/cooling and capacity.
- Jenkins or equivalent experience with distributed agents, shared libraries and credentials.
- Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform/Ansible or equivalent, including migrating existing configuration.
- VLAN, DNS, VPN and site-to-site networking; Python/Bash and comfort with large Groovy codebases.
- Pure Storage, NetApp or similar enterprise storage, NFS, backup and replication experience.
- On-site presence is required: posting metadata says Pangyo, while the body explicitly names the Seoul office and physical servers/labs.
- Travel to Sunnyvale or Dublin is estimated at one or two trips per year.
Good to have
- Bazel, Yocto, CMake and cross-compilation experience are preferred.
- VMware/KVM and HIL test equipment integrated with CI are preferred.
- Coverity, Black Duck, SAST/SCA and hybrid Kubernetes are preferred.
- Korean proficiency is a nice-to-have.
