Responsibilities
- Leads technical work across APJ's new logo deals from first contact to close.
- Runs structured discovery sessions to map each prospect's environment and requirements.
- Prepares and presents tailored architecture and solution proposals for customers.
- Designs and runs proof of concepts on customer data, then analyzes and presents the results.
- Builds sandbox setups that let prospects test Compute Engine and Elastic Compute directly.
- Works with sales to pick target accounts and builds reusable reference architecture and competitive materials.
What you need
- Has spent eight or more years in presales, solution architecture, or a technical sales role.
- Has hands on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, plus working SQL and Python skills.
- Holds a related degree such as computer science or data science, or has equivalent practical experience.
Good to have
- Has sales experience opening new accounts in APJ markets such as Australia, Japan, ASEAN, Korea, or Taiwan.
- Understands modern data platform architecture, including parallel processing, lakehouse patterns, and streaming ingestion.
- Understands Teradata's Compute Engine and Elastic Compute architecture.
- Understands retrieval augmented generation, embedding models, and vector stores used in LLM workflows.
- Has industry knowledge in sectors such as financial services, retail, public sector, or manufacturing.
