Responsibilities
- Lead and close large deals with government agencies and expand existing agency relationships.
- Build trusted relationships with agency executives, IT and CIO leaders and contracting officers across federal, state and local government.
- Grow owned accounts into long-term reference customers and case studies, and find new agencies, programs and contract vehicles to land fresh customers.
- Sell on mission impact and value rather than features, and work through procurement steps such as RFIs, RFPs and sole-source justifications.
- Meet and exceed activity, pipeline and revenue targets, and keep each account's use cases, procurement timeline, budget cycle, next steps and forecast current.
What you need
- 7+ years beating quotas in SaaS or AI solutions for the public sector or govtech, consistently closing large, complex agency accounts with multi-stakeholder approval cycles.
- Deep understanding of government procurement and budget cycles, including fiscal-year timing, contract vehicles and compliance requirements such as FedRAMP, StateRAMP and data residency.
- Excellent English and fluency in the local language, with experience presenting and negotiating with non-technical stakeholders and public officials.
- Able to manage a long-cycle pipeline independently in an early-stage, high-growth setting, with a hunter record of landing new agencies through unfamiliar procurement structures.
- Existing relationships with agency leaders and decision-makers, and wins alongside system integrators and hyperscaler government clouds such as AWS GovCloud and Azure Government.
