Responsibilities
- Pairs closely with a senior architect in Japan to deeply understand project background, support tasks, and the expected output.
- Reviews and gives detailed instructions in English so output from the India GDC meets the Japanese customer's quality bar.
- Turns a Japanese customer's requests into concrete technical specs, such as diagrams, demos, and English write-ups, that GDC can build from.
- Uses AI tools to draft instructions, summarize documents, and do a first pass review, speeding up the whole project.
- Turns Japan-specific business customs and unspoken intent into clear logic so multinational teams avoid misunderstanding.
What you need
- Has 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise systems consulting or IT delivery, such as development, design, or QA.
- Deeply understands what to build and how at each phase, from requirements through design, development, testing, and migration.
- Is fluent in Japanese and can accurately read the intent of Japanese customers and in-house architects.
- Has business-level English to exchange technical detail and process ideas with GDC architects in India.
- Takes a positive view of the gaps between Japanese and Indian IT development culture and enjoys closing them.
- Is motivated to use AI tools for translation, summaries, spec writing, and code review to boost their own output.
Good to have
- Can mediate patiently and flexibly between teams from different cultures and backgrounds is a plus.
- Going beyond translation to take real ownership of output quality with hands-on IT delivery sense is a plus.
- Wanting to actively use AI and new technology to work smarter and faster is a plus.
